Green Cross MS launch glycated haemoglobin monitoring system for global market
Green Cross MS, a company specialising in diagnostic reagents and medical devices, plans to pursue European and global markets with its “Greencare A1c,” a fully automated glycated haemoglobin (Hba1c) monitoring system.
Unlike the personal blood glucose meter, the system can identify the glycated haemoglobin, an important indicator of diabetes management, and can accurately grasp the status of diabetic patients without being affected by the external environment, such as eating.
The system has also received certification from the National Glycohemoglobin Standardisation Program (NGSP) and the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC).

Unlike conventional manual products, Greencare A1c is run automatically from blood sample collection to haemoglobin measurement and printing. Also, this product can store the reagents necessary for the measurement process at room temperature and further enhances convenience with functions such as touch screen and multi-lingual voice guidance, the company said.
To bolster its efforts to export the product, Green Cross MS received CE certification for European export and export approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
“Greencare A1c is a product that meets both quality and price competitiveness,” said Kim Young-pil 김영필, CEO of Green Cross MS 녹십자 MS. “Our company plans to focus on exports based on European CE certification and existing global HbA1c (glycated haemoglobin analyser) network.”
