OROLIN Perasept instrument powder disinfectant

OROLIN® Perasept is a high level disinfection and cold sterilization powder for medical and dental instruments. The antimicrobial activity is based on peracetic acid and includes the most resistant germs such as bacterial and fungal spores, mycobacteria and non-enveloped viruses. The aldehyde- and phenol-free product does not fixate blood and proteins and incorporates surfactants for spotless cleaning and reduced surface tension. Thanks to its non-corrosive, pH-neutral formulation, OROLIN® Perasept has excellent material compatibility and is highly suited for rapid sterilization of heat labile instruments such as endoscopes. OROLIN® Perasept is low-foaming and dissolves fully in water making it suitable for instruments with narrow channels. OROLIN® Perasept does not produce borates during use and is easily biodegradable.

Scope of Application
Non-acidic powdered concentrate suitable for the cold sterilization of heat labile instruments, in particular endoscopes and dental dams Not suitable for copper, brass, or damaged chromium-plated surfaces.

Use
Using the enclosed measuring spoon, dissolve OROLIN® Perasept powder in warm water (35–40 °C) and allow 15 minutes to react, stirring regularly. Immerse instruments completely, taking care to open all joints and vacate air from all cavities. Adhere to exposure times. After disinfection, remove instruments aseptically and rinse thoroughly with sterile water. If instruments are heavily contaminated, pre-clean with OROCID-MULTISEPT® Plus. Not suitable for copper, brass, or damaged chromium-plated surfaces. The solution can be used for a maximum of 24 hours.
